Located in the historic Miracle Mile in Los Angeles, the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) is the next chapter in Ms. Winfrey’s incredible career.  A joint venture between Ms. Winfrey and Discovery Communications, this start-up company needed an environment conducive to fostering teamwork and creativity in order to launch an entire network in less than twenty-four months.

A phased approach was used to complete essential, initial spaces in a timely fashion as the company began to take shape.  Starting with office spaces, each successive phase included additional requirements such as production, digital media and edit suites.

One of the focal points is a community café large enough to function as an all-hands meeting space, yet artfully arranged with seating clusters that provide intimate spaces for one-on-one conversations.  Fully integrated conference rooms are equipped to allow teleconference and video conference meetings with OWN’s production and program units across the country.

Edit capabilities were added in the most recent phase allowing timely control of post-production material.  Voice-over capabilities are also present on site.
